Hello, I’m Giovanna MacNiven, and I’m happy to welcome you to I’MPOSSIBLE, my positive psychology coaching practice. My journey in positive psychology and coaching stems from a profound passion for the science of well-being and personal development. Over the past decade, I’ve immersed myself in studying human relations, cultivating a deep appreciation for the transformative power of positive psychology and its significant impact on our lives.
With over 20 years of experience in internal communications, I’ve dedicated my career to enhancing employee engagement and well-being. This includes organizing numerous events aimed at boosting morale and fostering a sense of community, as well as writing well-being blogs that provide insightful articles on mental health.
Today, as a positive psychology coach, I draw upon my extensive background to help individuals and organizations thrive by fostering resilience, purpose, and happiness. My journey is supported by a degree in Psychology, a qualification in Applied Positive Psychology, a certification as Applied Positive Psychology Coach, both for individuals and for teams. I am also a certified Resilience Trainer of the Bounce Back Better® program, a Flourishing Center program.

Research has shown that resilience is a skillset that can be learned. Our resilience training programs are designed to enhance your mental and emotional skills, enabling you to navigate life’s ups and downs with more confidence.
By engaging in interactive sessions (individually or in a group) and employing evidence-based techniques from positive psychology and neuroscience, our trainings equip you with the essential tools to handle adversities, manage stress, overcome setbacks, cultivate a growth mindset, and embrace a solution-focused approach. Which mental and emotional skills can you learn in our resilience programs?
In our resilience training, you’ll acquire the mental skills necessary to navigate overwhelming thoughts, transforming unhealthy thinking patterns into empowering ones. You’ll learn how to manage worries effectively, preventing them from taking control of your life. You will learn how to understand your beliefs and how these might limit your possibilities. You will learn to engage with your inner critic and address the internal voices that focus on your shortcomings and undermine your confidence, helping you to diminish feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. You will learn how to reframe “what ifs” and “shoulds,” increasing your self-awareness, clarity, and motivation.
Throughout our resilience training, you’ll also develop emotional skills that allow you to identify and redirect unhelpful emotions, fostering more of the feelings you desire while effectively managing those you don’t. You’ll explore the origins of negative emotions and learn how to work with them, understanding the connection between thoughts and feelings. You’ll discover how and why triggers occur and how to address them within yourself and others. You’ll learn strategies to avoid getting stuck in emotions like anger, worry, sadness, guilt, or shame. These skills will also empower you to navigate others’ emotions and triggers, thereby improving communication and understanding.
