Meet the Elephants in the Room – online resilience training
Together, we will explore the science behind these topics, understand their impact on daily life, and discover how positive psychology can transform them into opportunities for growth and wellbeing. While we, as human beings, may be wired to struggle, it doesn’t have to stay that way.
-
🐘 WORRIES: anxiety affects around 301 million people worldwide. Worrying was designed to help us survive, but today it often leaves us exhausted and overwhelmed. In this session you will learn how worry is wired into your brain and body, how to regain control despite “what if” thoughts, and practical tools to stop panic attacks and catastrophic thinking.
-
🐘 MIND-BODY CONNECTION: your mental state shapes your physical health, and vice versa. In this session you will discover how movement, mindfulness, and your nervous system influence resilience. You will learn why activity boosts brain power, how to outsmart procrastination, and how to use your Reticular Activating System to manage stress and enhance overall wellbeing.
-
🐘 SELF-JUDGMENT: if you have ever felt like your own worst critic, you are not alone. Science shows, criticism undermines performance and erodes confidence. Our brain is wired to jump to conclusions, compare, assume, and criticize you and others. In this session you will learn to act as your own cognitive coach, shift into a growth mindset, cultivate optimism, and challenge unhelpful thoughts. You will learn how to doubt your doubts, building a foundation for resilience and self-compassion.
-
🐘 NEGATIVE EMOTIONS: did you know that the average life span of an emotion in the body is only 90 seconds? It is our thoughts that make them linger. This session will help you understand the relation between thoughts and emotions, manage “sticky” emotions like anger, guilt, shame, embarrassment, or sadness, and what triggers you and others into the emotional brain. You will leave with tools to navigate negative emotions and improve communication.
📅 Every Thursday at 5:00 PM CET & Friday at 9:00 AM CET (same topic, two-time options)
